90th Anniversary of the Criminal Police Directorate: "Recovered Heritage" Exhibition
"Recovered Heritage" Exhibition opened on 25 September 2024 at the Chinggis Khaan Museum as part of the celebration of the 90th Anniversary of the Criminal Police Directorate. With authorization from the Prosecutor's Office, the exhibition displayed number of previously stolen historical artifacts and items that were recovered during successful operations by the Criminal Police Directorate and were considered as evidence in criminal investigations.
Brigadier General T.Sukhbold, Commissioner-General of the National Police Agency of Mongolia, Mr. B.Davaatseren, Head of the Cultural Heritage Policy Implementation Department of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth, Mr. S.Chuluun, Director of the Chinggis Khaan Museum were among the representatives that attended the opening ceremony of the Exhibition.
Researchers and academics concluded that the 70 plus tangible cultural artifacts, which are on display at this exhibition, are irreplaceable items from 3rd century B.C to 19th century A.D, and belongs to the Xiongnu, Xianbei, Göktürk, Rouran and Mongol Empire periods.
