In preparation for Mongolia’s traditional Lunar New Year celebrations and the associated public holidays, law enforcement agencies have intensified efforts to prevent crimes and violations, maintain public order, and ensure the safety of citizens and road users.

As part of these measures, the police and internal troops have been operating at Heightened Readiness Level One since 9:00 AM on February 28, 2024.

During the holiday period, a total of 5,416 officers have been assigned to patrol, security, and regulatory duties. Additionally, 1,810 officers are stationed at 614 checkpoints across streets and roadways to manage traffic flow, conduct inspections, and enforce safety regulations.
